There’s never been a more exciting time to join Midland Lead. By continuously investing in and developing our people and production facility, we’re looking forward to becoming the UK’s best and most innovative lead sheet manufacturer by 2020.
If you decide to join us, you’ll be working in an environment where everyone is eager to make a difference. Above all, our teams are passionate about making our customers feel they get the best possible lead product, with a service they can’t find anywhere else.
WHERE DO YOU WANT TO WORK?
We sell to markets as diverse as construction, healthcare and heritage, and those different markets require different roles. Our sales positions for the heritage and construction market include Telesales Operatives, Customer Service Advisors and Business Development Managers on the road. For our Healthcare sector our experienced Specification Consultants form an important part of the sales team.
Visiting or speaking to our existing customers and new prospects, these people are ‘the voice and face’ of Midland Lead. Understanding our customers’ business needs and building a mutual beneficial relationship is their main task, whether that involves delivering staff product training, representing the company at trade open days, placing orders on the system, dealing with complaints or simply knowing how, when and what to sell.
Previous sales experience would be fantastic but it’s not essential, more important will be the way you are with customers, good communication skills and the desire to take ownership of your customer base.
Within the Operations department of Midland Lead there’s a range of administrative roles; from distribution to stock control and production control. These roles could be viewed as the glue that connects the company – either with regards to internal department or the company and its clients or contacts. One minute you could be helping customers with their transport queries, the next – helping gather information and data ready for a vital environment or health & safety report. If you love customer contact, helping people, a fast pace and teamwork – this is your perfect career!
In addition, the Maintenance role is essential for the smooth running of the factory. It covers all aspects of maintenance from dealing with plant breakdowns to preventative and facilities maintenance. There is a requirement to support production when needed. Successful applicants will have a proven ability as a maintenance technician and possess a desire for continuous performance development. The ability to be able to work as an individual as well as part of a team is essential.
