One of our newest customers, Vale Garden Houses, based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, specialise in the design and manufacture of high-end, bespoke conservatories, orangeries and garden buildings.
The family business – founded around the same time as Midland Lead over 30 years ago – recently switched suppliers in a bid to find better customer service and quicker delivery times.
Opting for Midland Lead, the move has seen the firm order our rolled lead in various thicknesses over the past six months. Quality assured, all our rolled lead carries a British Standard (BS EN12588) and a full CE mark (BS EN 14783).
Mark Gray, chief buyer at Vale Garden Houses, says: “We have a strong ethos towards quality, passion and pride in our work; attributes we also look for in our suppliers.
“With lead being a key material in the build of our buildings, we tend to use around 50 tonnes of lead on an annual basis, so it’s important the product’s quality is exceptionally high.”
Alongside quality, Mark notes that cost, delivery time and customer service are key to the relationship. “I’ve known about Midland Lead for a long while, they have a great reputation in the industry; something I’ve been able to experience for myself over the past six months. Availability on products and the general service of our account has been great. Whether we need a bespoke or standard cut, they always deliver on time and to spec,” he says.
Having steadily grown over the years, developing and refining its Georgian- and Oriental-inspired designs, Vale Garden Houses has become one of the most well-respected and established conservatory companies in the UK. For Mark, this year is all about continuing that growth organically as new supplier relationships strengthen.
