As the deadline for the BIM compliancy looms closer we are increasingly being asked by customers if we are BIM ready. Here are the 3 questions our customers most want answered:

Q: Does Midland Lead have any BIM objects available?

A: Yes, we have developed BIM objects for our core healthcare products or ‘families’: lead-lined boards with plywood, lead-lined boards with plasterboard and lead-lined sandwich boards.

Q: What CAD software packages are the objects available in?

A: The BIM objects can only be viewed using Revit, which is the standard BIM compliant software.

Q: How can I get hold of the BIM objects?

A: We are working towards making the BIM objects available to download from our website in the near future. But at the moment the objects are available on a data stick: email us – healthcare@midlandlead.co.uk – with the request to receive the BIM objects and let us have your contact and address details and we’ll be happy to send them to you.
