Each month we answer your product and industry questions. This month you asked: “When will my order arrive”


Having just made some big logistical improvements here at Midland Lead, this month’s question ‘when will my order arrive?’ comes at a great time.

Due to us securing a new transport and distribution contract with national logistics solution provider, The Premier Logistics Group, which came into effect this March, we can now let our customers know exactly when their order will be delivered.

Along with Estimated Time of Arrival information (ETA) also able to offer consignment traceability, as well as electronic proof of delivery (EPOD).

To find out this information, all our customers have to do is find their sales order number – which we send via email straight after an order has been placed with us –  then head over to and enter it into the delivery traceability tool.

You’ll then be directed to a Premier Logistics web page with two tabs; depending on what you want to know, click either ‘track and trace’ or ‘EPOD’.

On the ‘track and trace’ option, look for the very last box called ‘C&D Scan’. If it’s ticked, your order has been scanned onto a collection and delivery vehicle and is out for delivery that day.

On the EPOD details page, you’ll see who has signed for the consignment, as well as the exact time and date that the delivery was received. And what’s even more impressive, is that this information is visible within just three seconds of the delivery being made.

We believe this level of technology and online traceability is exceptionally useful within our industry, and hope our customer base will find it beneficial.
