New service developments for Midland Lead Healthcare

As an independent manufacturer, we believe in offering our customers and their suppliers a high level of support and attention to ensure the specification and fitting of our radiation protection products is straightforward and safe.  As part of this commitment we have been busy increasing the level of technical support we give clients, contractors and architects.  This now includes:

For design teams:

1. Availability of BIM objects for lead-lined boards and lead battens
2. Product datasheets for lead-lined boards and lead battens
3. Standard details in pdf and dwf format for use in AutoCAD design software
4. Cost plan support
5. NBS formatted specification clauses for lead-lined plasterboards and plywood available via NBS Create and NBS Build Software
6. Creation of a CPD module for architects focused on radiation shielding in healthcare – ‘Ionising radiation shielding: principles and practices in healthcare’

For contractors/clients:

1. Review of design to assist specification and further development
2. Development of new on-site quality management process
3. Packaging and labelling of boards to improve on-site logistics
4. Pre-order site visits
5. Cost plan support
6. Provision of Operating and Maintenance Manual datasets
7. Installation labelling support

As well as listening to the requirements of customers, contractors and architects we are also working closely with key bodies within the radiation protection sector such as the British Institute of Radiology and the Society for Radiological Protection to ensure we continually add to our knowledge base and keep abreast of new developments within the industry.
