Midland Lead supports new builders’ merchant depots

At Midland Lead, we like to work with our merchants to ensure we’re not only providing them with high quality products, but also supporting them in developing their business.

With this in mind, we’re delighted to showcase a range of tailored stock profiles aimed at helping both existing and new builders’, timbers’ and roofing merchants. The profiles will make sure merchants are able to maximise opportunities relating to the stocking and selling of lead sheet and related ancillary products.

We’ve started with the launch of our builders’ merchant stock profile, which details our recommendations in terms of lead thicknesses (codes), suggested quantities, and the dimensional information in terms of length and width of lead sheet for your branch personnel and customers alike. The profile recommends stocking codes 3 and 4, as these are the most popular codes of lead with roofers. We are also able to supply codes 1-8 for our machine cast lead, 3-8 for our rolled lead, and sandcast lead in codes 6-8. Whatever your specific requirements are, we’re here to help.

As well as suggesting stock levels for lead sheet, the profile also details suggested ancillary products, including patination oil, fixing clips, flexible lead slates and sealant; all products building professionals should be clamouring for on a regular basis. Tailored to save your customers time and money, these products should not be seen as last minute till purchases, rather as best practice when installing lead sheet. The added bonus is that they can also deliver a healthy profit in your branch.
