Midland Lead Invited to the BMF Parliamentary Reception 2022

Midland Lead will be exhibiting at the Builders Merchants Federation’ (BMF) sustainability event held at the House of Commons on 26 October.

The ‘Levelling Up Towards Net Zero’ event offers the opportunity for BMF members such as Midland Lead, to demonstrate their commitment, as part of the supply chain to achieve Net Zero Carbon Emissions by 2050 and Levelling Up by 2030 to those in Parliament and Government.

Midland Lead will exhibit alongside invited manufacturers and distributors of environmentally friendly building materials. The event will also demonstrate how advanced manufacturing, combining science with process, has a positive and lasting impact on building a sustainable supply chain in construction.

This will be the third Parliamentary Reception that Midland Lead has attended and further outlines our commitment to reducing energy consumption and ensuring we operate environmentally efficient processes. Sustainability is embedded through every part of our business, from reducing waste disposal and only using 100% recycled lead, through to energy efficiency, packaging and logistics. Unlike plastic alternatives, lead is sustainable, and we constantly monitor fabrication processes at our specialist facilities in Derbyshire, now and into the future.

Sales and Marketing Manager, Kyle Hazeldine, who regularly champions Midland Lead’s sustainability achievements, will be attending the event and he said; “Here at Midland Lead we have long-term plans that contribute to the ongoing commitment of the construction sector to achieve Net Zero Carbon Emissions. Every part of our business is a great example of how a company should apply responsibilities to the future of sustainable manufacturing. This includes how we reduce waste, conserve energy and natural resources, and minimise any negative environmental impact.”

We are looking forward to re-visiting Parliament by representing the lead industry and we have many updates since our last visit that reinforces our position to this group of Government officials and peers.

Midland Lead will exhibit alongside the other invited members UK Construction Week, Genuit Group, Ibstock, Marsh, Rockwool, Velux, Wavin, Bosch, Fernox, Grundfos, Hanson, JCB and Knauf Insulation.
