Supporting people without a home this Christmas

It’s easy to get wrapped up in the partying and shopping-fest that is Christmas, without pausing for thought for those less advantaged than ourselves. Midland Lead fundraise regularly for a range of causes and we’re fortunate that our staff are right on board with this, throwing in their all to raise much needed cash for worthy causes throughout the year.

We have been celebrating 35 years of business here this year, so we thought that it would be fitting this month to donate 35 places at the table for homeless people this Christmas through Crisis.

Crisis is a national charity supporting homeless people throughout the UK. With more than 11,000 volunteers, the charity works directly with thousands of homeless people each year providing essential support to help them rebuild their lives. Offering one-to-one support, advice and courses for homeless people in twelve areas across England, Scotland and Wales, they are making a real difference to people who may have nowhere else to turn.

Crisis is a charity that we are really pleased to support. They provide services such as helping people find a home and settle in, get new skills and find a job, or help with their health and wellbeing. This long-term support helps people rebuild their lives and leave homelessness behind.

Christmas can be a very challenging time for some people, that’s why Midland Lead fundraise with the hope to make a difference in these people’s lives in any small way that we can, but this work wouldn’t be possible without all the amazing volunteers and the organisation behind Crisis at Christmas.
