Midland Lead and ISO 9001
ISO 9001 is an internationally recognised standard that demonstrates that an organisation has met the requirements of the system by implementing an effective management system to manage quality throughout its processes. Certification is maintained through continual assessments here at Midland Lead. We achieved ISO 9001 in April this year and through out quality management system we aim to demonstrate to you, our customer that we can deliver a consistent, quality service which meets and sometimes even exceeds your expectations.
When you buy from Midland Lead you expect high quality goods and excellent service. When you buy products from us we aim to meet your expectations and even exceed them where we can you also know to expect the highest quality you can get.
It’s not only the products that are high quality though, it is also the customer service that we provide. Having the ISO 9001 demonstrates that we aim to give 100% in everything we do for the customer. We are a process driven company that makes sure everything we do is systematic and meets the requirements of ISO 9001 and other standards which are applicable to the organisation. Having 9001 means that we have raised the bar when it comes to understanding and meeting customer expectation.
By achieving ISO 9001 we have now added to our ISO portfolio which includes, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. 14001 being an environmental standard and 18001 being a risk standard. These standards will be changing from September this year with new Standards for ISO 9001 and 14001 followed by OHSAS 18001 changing to ISO 45001 expected sometime next year – these changes will be some of the most significant changes which have been applied in many years and will see all three brought into alignment with each other making the integration of the 3 into one management system more effective. Midland Lead are already working towards these changes in readiness to achieve the certification for the standards
ISO 14001 helps the company:
- Better environmental management reduces waste and energy use impact of our activities on the environment
- Improve efficiency to cut the cost of running your business
- Meet legal obligations to win greater stakeholder and customer trust
- Prepare for the changing business landscape confidently
ISO 18001 is an occupational health and safety standard. This means that the company’s health and safety also meets the requirement of an internationally recognised standard and that we are deemed to have a system which managers Health & Safety effectively. Having OHSAS 18001 means that we:
- Create the best possible working conditions across our organization
- Identify hazards and put in place controls to manage them
- Reduce workplace accidents and illness to cut related costs and downtime
- Engage and motivate staff with better, safer working conditions
- Demonstrate compliance to customers and suppliers
We are working as a company to provide the best products and service we can to our customers. Having these standards now means that we can not only demonstrate to you, as a customer, that we are a high quality organisation but we are also independently endorsed as being an organisation which is effective in managing quality, health and safety and the environment within our organisation and in the service we provide to our customers.
