Ecobuild and UK Roofing Award 2015

We are all excited for this year’s Ecobuild which is tomorrow! We will be showing off our lead cladding system as well as some of our products. If you haven’t already registered make sure you do it now:  http://tiny.cc/EcobuildRegistration as this will be your last chance.

We will be at stand N4033 so make sure you come and meet us all. We will be able to answer any questions you might have on our products, as well as any other lead related construction questions you have. The event will be held at Excel London from the 3rd of March until the 5th of March. On Tuesday and Wednesday it will be open from 10:00am until 6:00pm and on Thursday it will be open from 10:00am until 4:00pm.

Not only are we excited for Ecobuild but this year we are glad to be supporting two of the roofing projects that have used our lead in the UK Roofing Award 2015. The two companies – Hannam and Sons and Roofstore P&P – have used our lead and will be finding out if they are in the finals this week fingers crossed!

Hannam and Sons’ project was called: Bridge Buildings.

The building is located in the market town of Barnstaple. And was made using our code 7 and 8 sandcast lead. Hannam and Sons did the whole project which included carpentry construction to support the lead valley work.

Roofstore’s project was called: Quarr Abbey.

Their work on the Quarr Abbey – which was founded in 1132 – included: stabilising work to preserve the ruins, repairs to the 1907 church sanctuary tower roof, preservation of the stable yard and some of the buildings as well as formation of a new car park.

Roofstore used 4 tonnes of our code 6 machine cast lead as well as our woodcore rolls and patination oil.
