We’re recruiting for Operatives to come and join our award-winning #TeamMidlandLead
Midland Lead is looking for enthusiastic operatives with a passion for manufacturing and recycling, to support our winning team in our production facility in Swadlincote.
We will teach you all there is to work on our production lines in our cutting shop, support with logistics in our yard and work on our refining, recycling or casting process. We will develop your skills and career by teaching you to drive a pedestrian palletstacker, B1 and B2 forklifts, loading shovel and excavator, operate our crane, work as a traffic marshal in our yard or learn to be a first aider or firemarshal. 
With our clear pay- and progression structure, you will start with the Real Living Wage hourly rate and you can work your way up to £15,75 per hour. Our ‘dream shift’ is designed by the team itself and comprises of weekly alternating day shifts:
- Week 1: 6am – 3.30pm Monday – Thursday; 6am – 10am Friday
- Week 2: 9am – 6.30pm Monday – Thursday; 9am – 12am Friday
Other shifts are available too (week 1: 6.00am – 3.30pm ; week 2: 1pm – 10.30pm). Regular overtime is available (mostly on Fridays) at 1.5 hourly rate.
