Royal Derby Hospital, part of University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust, has expanded its cardiac services with the construction of three new state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories.
Delivered by main contractor Skanska, the project involved infilling an existing internal courtyard within the live hospital estate to create a purpose-built clinical suite equipped with the latest interventional cardiac imaging technology.
The completed facility now provides three fully operational catheter theatres, enabling the Trust to deliver advanced cardiac procedures and life-changing care to patients across Derbyshire and the surrounding region.
