Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) is investing £35 million in the development of a new elective hub at the City Hospital campus. Funded through the national Targeted Investment Fund (TIF), the project

is designed to increase surgical capacity, reduce

patient waiting lists, and improve outcomes for patients undergoing planned (elective) surgery.

The development includes the extension of an existing building alongside the construction of a new three-storey facility. Once complete, the hub will feature three state-of-the-art operating theatres, 24 elective inpatient beds, 18 day-case beds, a dedicated patient reception and waiting area, and modern staff facilities including offices, seminar rooms, changing areas, and rest spaces.
