Results explained:

  • Group match results/scores:
    • For picking the correct result (win or draw), 1 point will be added to your total.
    • For picking the correct score, 2 points will be added to your total.
    • A maximum of 3 points can be earned per match.
  • Results/scores from second round onwards:
    • For naming the correct group winner or runner-up and subsequent winners of the following matches, 1 point will be added to your total (2 points per match can be earned).
    • For predicting the correct match score, 1 point will be added.
    • For predicting the correct winner of each match – irrespective of picking the right name – 1 point can be won.
    • In case of a match ending in a penalty shoot-out, one goal will be added to the score of the winner of the penalty shoot-out. This will then be the score of the match.
    • A maximum of 4 points can be earned per match from second round onwards.
  • Entree league table:
    • In total 204 points can be earned by filling in the prediction sheet correct. On our webpage we will publish an entree league table with the top 3 results per sales area.

Terms & Conditions:

  • Prediction sheets must be completed in full – including account number.
  • Completed prediction sheets must be received by Midland Lead no later than 10/6/2010. Please check with the sales squad to confirm your entree has been received in time.
  • On our website we will keep track of the entree results through an entree league table. The winners per area will be announced within a week of the Final.
  • Winners throughout the Competition will be contacted directly via our sales squad.
  • We expect not to need a referee for this competition, however any dispute needs to be addressed to Mr Keith Spencer at 01283 224555.
  • Participants to our ML Competition only will receive a 2010 World Cup mug.
  • Participants only will be able to get a price reduction of £20 per tonne when England wins, and if the order is placed the next working day.
  • Exclusively participants having predicted the right quarter finalists will receive a price reduction of £30 per tonne of lead, if the order is placed within the World Cup period.
  • Exclusively participants having predicted the right semi finalists will receive a price reduction of £40 per tonne of lead, if the order is placed within the World Cup period.
  • Exclusively participants having predicted the correct finalists will receive a price reduction of £50 per tonne of lead, if the order is placed within two weeks after the final.
