Volunteers wanted!

ChildLine in Nottingham is looking for approximately 80 new volunteer counsellors to take many more calls from children and young people who need to talk. ChildLine's goal is to double the number of volunteer counsellors at the Nottingham base, who can listen and deal with up to 20,000 calls in 2009. Can you spare 4-5 hours a week and would you like to make sure more children get heard? Simply phone 0844 892 0255 and book a place to attend one of the Volunteer Information Meetings in N'ham:

• 21 January 2010, from 7.00 till 8.30pm
• 23 March 2010, from 7.00 till 8.30pm
• 22 April 2010, from 7.00 till 8.30pm
• 18 May 2010, from 7.00 till 8.30pm
• 24 June 2010, from 7.00 till 8.30pm
• 22 July 2010, from 7.00 till 8.30pm

The NSPCC welcomes volunteer counsellors from all walks of life, in fact the only requirement to apply, is that you were a child yourself! All volunteer counsellors will receive training, ongoing support, informative workshops and travel expenses.
